The resource in the request URL does not exist for your credentials.

What it means

The path is valid, but the resource it names is unknown to your credentials: a mistyped or stale reference, a reference created in the other environment, or a resource that has since been deleted.

How to handle it

Check the reference and the path. References are opaque strings; store and send them exactly as the API returned them.
Check the environment. A sandbox reference is unknown to production, and the reverse.
Do not retry the same URL; the answer does not change on its own.
